Cebu Pacific carried 1.906 million passengers in September 2026, up 4.4% from 1.826 million in the same month last year, as stronger domestic demand offset a decline in international traffic.

The airline’s seat load factor (SLF), which measures passenger occupancy against available seats, rose to 83.5% from 81.1% in September 2025. Seat capacity increased 1.4% to 2.284 million, the company reported.

Domestic passenger traffic grew 7.4% year-on-year to 1.482 million, supported by a 6.2% increase in seat capacity to 1.75 million. The domestic seat load factor improved to 84.7% from 83.7%.

International passenger traffic, meanwhile, declined 5.1% to 424,000 as the airline reduced seat capacity by 11.5% to 534,000. Despite the contraction in traffic, the international seat load factor increased by 5.4 percentage points to 79.3%.

For the first nine months of 2026, Cebu Pacific flew nearly 20.8 million passengers, up 4.1% from 19.951 million in the same period last year.

Domestic passengers increased 5.5% to 15.7 million, while international traffic remained broadly flat at 5.1 million.

The airline’s year-to-date seat load factor averaged 82.1%, down from 84.8% a year earlier. Overall seat capacity increased 7.6% to 25.303 million.

“Despite September traditionally being a lean travel month in the Philippines, we saw encouraging demand across our domestic network, particularly on key trunk routes. Internationally, we continued to manage capacity selectively in response to elevated fuel prices,” said Xander Lao, president and chief commercial officer of Cebu Pacific.

“As we approach the holiday season, we will maintain a disciplined approach to matching capacity with demand, while retaining the flexibility to adjust our network in response to fuel prices and evolving market conditions. Our focus remains on providing affordable and reliable travel,” Lao added.
