Fifty years ago, DSV was a group of Danish haulers. They pooled their trucks and set out to compete in a crowded road transport market.
Today, that small group has become one of the world’s largest transport and logistics companies. It runs operations in more than 90 countries with about 160,000 employees.
On September 25, 2026, DSV Philippines marked the company’s 50th anniversary in Manila. The celebration looked back on DSV’s history but kept its focus on what comes next.
“50 years is no small feat for any organization,” said Arjun Kohli, DSV Philippines Managing Director for Contract Logistics.
The theme, “Fifty/Forward: One DSV,” was chosen to say as much about the future as the past. Kohli said it reflects DSV’s commitment to keep innovating while staying ready for whatever the industry faces next.

For Kasper Nielsen, DSV Philippines Managing Director for Air and Sea, the anniversary is a chance to turn a long history into forward motion.
“Our business has grown far beyond our imagination. And the world has become more complex, and the supply chains have grown to an increased depth. Our heritage gives us a strong foundation but our ambition must always reach beyond it,” Nielsen said.
He said DSV’s core values have held steady through five decades of change in global trade. Those values are transparency, delivering results, taking ownership and winning together.
Allan Salvador, DSV Philippines Managing Director for Road, thanked the customers, partners and employees who helped the company reach the milestone.
Last May, the DSV Group launched its strategic priorities called “Leverage to Lead”, which aims to support the company’s positioning as the global leader in the industry and marks the next key milestone in the 50-year history of the company. The strategic priorities will enable DSV to improve productivity from artificial intelligence and technology and to further optimize its network and operations after completion of the integration of Schenker.

DSV provides air freight, sea freight, road transport, warehousing, intermodal transport and express delivery in the Philippines. It has offices in Manila, Cebu and Davao.
In 2024, DSV opened a 34,000-square-meter warehouse in Silang, Cavite, its largest facility in the Philippines. The warehouse gives importers, exporters and manufacturers in Calabarzon more storage and distribution capacity near Metro Manila. —Roumina Pablo
