The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG) has tapped professionals in the sector to share their expertise and provide advice and guidance to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for free.

The experts are organized as the Supply Chain and Logistics Guild – network of seasoned logistics and supply chain professionals committed to providing pro bono guidance to MSMEs, according to the SCLG website.

By sharing expertise in transport, shipping, warehousing, cold storage, import/export processes, procurement, financing, IT, analytics, packaging, and business process improvement, SCLG said the Guild empowers entrepreneurs to overcome operational challenges and strengthen competitiveness.

DTI undersecretary for SCLG Mary Jean Pacheco, in a recent chance interview with PortCalls on the sidelines of the National Exports Congress, said the Guild is part of the Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC).

The SCLC was launched earlier this year to help MSMEs with their logistics and supply chain requirements, providing them access to real-time support on freight inquiries, service referrals, regulatory guidance, and more.

Pacheco said that while the SCLC can assist with general concerns, Guild consultants can be tapped to provide expert advice on specific or technical issues.

MSMEs can send their inquiry/question via email to SCLC (sclc@dti.gov.ph), who will connect them with the appropriate consultant/s.

The list of consultants and their field of expertise can be found at the SCLC website.
