Emirates almost back to full operations with 96% of flights restored

Emirates announced that 96% of its global network has been restored since the disruption due to the Middle East crisis that started February 28 when the United States and Israel launched air attacks on Iran.

The United Arab Emirates flag carrier, in a statement, said it “is marking a near-full return to operations.”

“In the past weeks, the airline has progressively resumed services across the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East/GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council with 6 member countries), the Far East and Australasia,” said the airline headquartered at the Dubai International Airport.

Emirates said it currently flies to 137 destinations across 72 countries, with over 1,300 weekly frequencies, representing 75% of pre-disruption capacity.

During the disruption period, Emirates said it still carried 4.7 million passengers.

Emirates said as it returns to full operations, it is offering more flights, more seats and more options to and from its Dubai hub.

“Emirates is giving customers more reasons to travel with confidence with flexible rebooking, Dubai Connect stopover experiences and enhanced Skywards benefits,” it said.
