Air shipments handled by international airfreight forwarders in the first quarter of 2026 reached 84.505 million kilograms (kg), up 11.4% from the 75.853 million kg posted in the same period last year, according to data from the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
Of the total, consolidations accounted for 43.51% or 36.767 million kg, up 13.5% from 32.399 million kg during the period in review.
Breakbulking, which had a slice of 38.52% or 32.551 million kg, likewise grew 6.4% from 30.579 million kg last year.
Direct shipments likewise improved 18% to 15.186 million kg from 12.875 million kg.

Nippon Express Philippines Corp. maintained its position in CAB’s list as top international airfreight forwarder in terms of volumes handled, accounting for 13.322 million kg or a share of 15.76% to total.
Federal Express Pacific likewise stayed at second place with 7.801 million kg or a share of 9.23%.

DSV Air & Sea, Inc. and Kintetsu World Express, Inc. (KWE) switched places, with DSV ranking third with 5.177 million kg (6.13%) while KWE in fourth with 4.234 million kg (5.01%).
Still in fifth place was Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc. with 4.025 million kg (4.76%) while Kuehne + Nagel Inc. climbed up two tanks to sixth with 3.458 million kg (4.09%) and Expeditors Philippines, Inc. jumping three places to seventh with 2.544 million kg (3%).
Sister firms DHL Global Forwarding (Phils.), Inc. and DHL Express (Phils.) Corp. both improved ranks at eight with 2.239 million kg (2.65%) and at ninth with 2.186 million kg (2.59%), respectively.
Shooting seven places to 10th was Trans-Global Consolidators Inc., handling 1.968 million kg or a share of 2.33%.
Completing CAB’s top 30 list were UPS Delbros Transport, Inc. (1.882 million kg), Maersk Logistics and Services Philippines, Inc. (1.817 million kg), CEVA Logistics Phils., Inc. (1.749 million kg), Schenker Philippines, Inc. (1.701 million kg), U-Freight Phils., Inc. (1.63 million kg), 247 Cargo Services Inc. (1.547 million kg), Dimerco Express Phils, Inc. (1.126 million kg), Kornet Express, Inc. (1.025 million kg), UPS SCS (Philippines), Inc. (1.014 million kg), Morrison Express Philippines Inc. (991,396 kg), AAI Worldwide Logistics Inc. (900,890 kg), Sincerity International Cargo Services Corp. (823,888 kg), AGX Express Philippines, Inc. (781,323 kg), Logwin Air + Ocean Philippines, Inc.
