Kintetsu World Express Philippines, Inc. (KWEPH) took fourth place in the Top 10 major subsidiary company contributors to the KWE Group in 2025, marking 11 consecutive years of recognition for its consistent performance and role in the global KWE network.
KWEPH was recognized by its mother company, KWE Japan, for its “outstanding efforts in maintaining excellent performance” and its contribution to enhancing the “overall management strength through the years with responsibility and dedication.”
KWEPH noted that affiliated companies across the KWE Group were evaluated based on overall financial performance, along with key indicators such as productivity, asset efficiency, growth, and operational scale.

KWEPH president Kei Maehira received the commendation on May 20 during the KWE Group Corporate Meeting 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.
The Philippine subsidiary was established on June 25, 1998. It holds the distinction of being the first freight forwarding company in the Philippines to obtain the TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association) and ISO IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001) in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
For 2025, KWEPH was the fourth top international airfreight forwarder in terms of cargo volumes handled, based on data by the Civil Aeronautics Board.
