Philippine Airlines’ (PAL) seasonal nonstop flights to Sapporo resume November 3, 2026 until March 26, 2027.
The service will operate three times weekly, providing a direct link from Manila to New Chitose Airport in Japan’s northern region during the winter travel season, PAL announced.
The flight schedule features morning departures from Manila and midday arrivals in Sapporo, with return flights departing in the afternoon every Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
PAL will use Airbus A321neo aircraft for the route, offering both business and economy class seating, along with onboard entertainment and Wi-Fi services.
This seasonal route aims to accommodate travelers heading to Japan for winter activities, including the annual Snow Festival.
For cargo, the carrier expects the route to increase capacity for goods transported between the two countries.
The resumption of the Sapporo service coincides with an increase in flight frequencies on the airline’s Manila-Osaka and Manila-Narita routes, which will also see more capacity from Dec. 19, to Jan. 11, 2027, to handle the peak holiday demand.
Philippine Airlines currently operates direct flights from the Philippines to several other Japanese cities, including Tokyo, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.
