Amid shifting trade dynamics and frequent global supply chain disruptions, the Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia (PASIA) has officially unveiled its new digital learning platform, OPRA e-Learning (Online Procurement Academy).
The platform is designed to provide procurement professionals with a seamless, subscription-style experience to enhance their strategic skills. Now available across the ASEAN region and globally, OPRA aims to transition practitioners from traditional “transactional buying” to high-level strategic sourcing.
As geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty continue to stress global markets, the role of the procurement professional has shifted from a back-office function to a critical driver of business resilience. According to PASIA, OPRA E-Learning addresses these modern challenges by offering a flexible, self-paced ecosystem.
“Procurement professionals are playing a more critical role in ensuring supply continuity and managing risks,” the institute noted. “OPRA provides the tools to deliver measurable business impact through globally relevant, structured content.”
The academy offers a comprehensive suite of tools designed for the modern learner, including:

A major highlight of the launch is the digitalization of the Certified Strategic Sourcing Professional (CSSP) program. Regarded as a gold standard in the industry, the CSSP certification is now obtainable entirely online.
The certification is divided into three core modules:
- Essentials of Strategic Sourcing: Focuses on the 8-step sourcing process and stakeholder engagement
- Tools and Techniques: Covers cost analysis, pricing models, and category segmentation
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Emphasizes long-term value creation and supplier performance. Simplified access for professionals
- In an effort to remove barriers to professional development, PASIA has integrated modern digital payment options. Users can now enroll and access courses using GCash, Maya, QRPh, and credit cards, moving away from slower, traditional enrollment processes.
