Resilience and ethics in customs brokerage will be the focus of the Philippine Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (PCCBI) 34th National Convention on October 16, 2026 at Widus Hotel Clark in Pampanga.
This year’s theme is “Stronger Through Change, Empowering Resilient and Ethical Customs Brokers in a Shifting Global Trade Landscape.” The hybrid gathering brings together customs brokers, industry leaders, public servants and members of the academe to share knowledge, perspectives, strategies and innovations shaping the future of the profession.
Almost 1,000 customs brokers are expected to join onsite and via Zoom.
Why the theme matters for logistics stakeholders
Customs brokers are the link between importers, exporters and the Bureau of Customs (BOC), so how they adapt to change directly affects how fast and how cleanly cargo is cleared. The theme puts two priorities side by side: being resilient enough to keep up with a changing global trade environment, and holding to ethical practice while doing so.
For shippers, forwarders and other logistics players who rely on brokers, the convention offers a view of where the profession is headed. With BOC leadership, the regulatory board for customs brokers, and Clark and Subic officials all in attendance, the event is also a venue for brokers and government to align on expectations.
