The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) launched e-SuRGE (Sustainability Reporting Guide for Exporters), a digital platform aimed at strengthening environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting among PEZA-registered enterprises.
The new platform, PEZA announced, was unveiled on June 4, 2026 at Seda Nuvala in Santa Rosa, Laguna, in partnership with Japan’s Zeroboard Inc. and TechShake.
According to PEZA, the tool digitalizes the agency’s existing framework, aiming to make ESG reporting more accessible, efficient, and scalable for exporters operating in ecozones.

PEZA deputy director general for policy and planning Emmanuel Cortero, speaking on behalf of director general Tereso Panga, pointed to the growing influence of ESG factors in investment decisions, supply chain requirements, and access to international markets.
He described e-SuRGE as a “strategic enabler” that can help enterprises strengthen their ESG performance and deepen their participation in global value chains.
PEZA group manager Rowena Naguit said the framework was built to simplify and standardize sustainability reporting while accommodating enterprises at different stages of ESG readiness, allowing them to progressively develop their reporting capabilities over time.
The launch event drew PEZA-registered enterprises, government representatives, sustainability leaders, and Philippine and Japanese partner organizations, all expressing support for the push toward more responsible business practices and stronger global competitiveness among Philippine exporters.
PEZA thanked its partners and participating enterprises for supporting the initiative, which it described as part of a broader push toward “a more sustainable, resilient, and globally competitive export sector.”
