Nippon Express Philippines Corp. continued to lead CAB’s top 30 international airfreight forwarders list based on volumes handled, accounting for 27.537 million kg or a share of 15.73%
International airfreight forwarders handled 175.088 million kilograms of cargo in the first semester of 2026, up 15.4% from the 151.757 million kg recorded in the same period last year, according to latest data from Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB).
The higher volumes for the first half of the year comes even as only 91% of CAB-accredited international airfreight forwarders had complete submission of volume reports for the period compared with the slightly higher 94.01% completion submissions in the same period last year.
Of the total, consolidations continue to account for the biggest share of 42.9% or 75.069 million kg, an increase of 15.9% from the 64.794 million kg handled in the first half of 2025.
Breakbulking, which shared 39.11% of the total, likewise improved 13.4% to 68.469 million kg from 60.389 million kg.
Direct shipments also grew 18.7% to 31.55 million kg from 26.574 million kg.
Nippon Express Philippines Corp. continued to lead CAB’s top 30 international airfreight forwarders list based on volumes handled, a spot it has kept since 2004, except in 2008. For the first half of the year, Nippon Express accounted for 27.537 million kg or a share of 15.73%.
Federal Express Pacific also remained in second place with 16.385 million kg or a share of 9.36%.
DSV Air & Sea, Inc. followed in third place with 9.872 million or 5.64%.
Kintetsu World Express (Phils.), Inc. ranked fourth handling 8.944 million kg or 5.11%, while Kuehne + Nagel Inc. placed fifth with 8.326 million kg or 4.76%.

In sixth place was Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc., recording 8.281 million kg or 4.73% share, while Expeditors Philippines, Inc. took seventh place with 5.034 million kg or 2.87% share.
Sister companies DHL Global Forwarding (Phils.), Inc. and DHL Express (Phils.) Corp. ranked eight and ninth respectively, with 4.581 million kg (2.62%) and 4.568 million kg (2.61%).
Completing the top 10 was UPS Delbros Transport, Inc. with 4.233 million kg or a share of 2.42%.
Placing 11th to 20th in the latest list were Trans-Global Consolidators Inc. (4.209 million kg); 247 Cargo Services Inc. (3.413 million kg); CEVA Logistics Phils., Inc. (3.233 million kg); Schenker Philippines, Inc. (3.101 million kg); U-Freight Phils., Inc. (3.091 million kg); Maersk Logistics and Services Philippines, Inc. (2.965 million kg); Kornet Express, Inc. (2.591 million kg); UPS SCS (Philippines), Inc. (2.423 million kg); Dimerco Express Phils, Inc. (2.388 million kg); and Morrison Express Philippines Inc. (1.985 million kg).
Closing the top 30 list from 21st to 30th were AAI Worldwide Logistics Inc. (1.933 million kg); Logwin Air + Ocean Philippines, Inc. (1.756 million kg); Sincerity International Cargo Services Corp. (1.585 million kg); AGX Express Philippines, Inc. (1.470 million kg); NNR Global Logistics (Phils) Inc. (1.453 million kg); Polaris Express Logistics Corp. (1.374 million kg); AWOT Global Express (Phils) Corp. (1.262 million kg); Best Solution Total Logistics OPC (1.226 million kg); World Alliance Freight, Inc. (1.205 million kg); and Skylink Co., Inc.
