Subic Bay International Terminals Corp. (SBITC) has acquired new equipment to boost landside operations at the Subic port.

The six Tantri trailers and six Terberg tractors will help streamline cargo movement in the terminal, reduce turnaround times for both vessels and outside trucks, and ensure smoother operations even during peak periods, the port operator said in a statement.

“SBITC is committed to providing clients with unparalleled services and maintaining our position as the premiere gateway to Northern and Central Luzon. The acquisition of new equipment underscores our dedication to safe and efficient port operations,” said Henry Dungca, SBITC terminal manager.

“We are confident that these new additions will significantly improve the experience of our customers, who stand to benefit from the smoother, faster, and more reliable cargo operations here at SBITC,” he added.

SBITC manages and operates New Container Terminals 1 and 2 in Subic port with an annual capacity of 600,000 twenty-foot equivalent units. The terminal caters to more than a dozen weekly services and major shipping lines.
