Yello X Supply Chain Solutions and the National Food Authority (NFA) Region IV have formalized a strategic partnership through the signing of a logistics services agreement, reinforcing efforts to strengthen the country’s food security through more efficient and reliable agri-logistics.

The agreement was signed by Albert Doceo, president of Yello X SCS, and Beverly Navarro, regional manager II of NFA Southern Luzon, at the NFA Regional Office in Balagtas, Batangas.

The partnership, according to a Yello X statement, is expected to enhance the movement of rice and other agricultural commodities across Region IV, supporting the NFA’s mandate of ensuring adequate food supply and distribution.

Under the agreement, Yello X SCS will leverage its integrated and technology-enabled logistics capabilities to improve delivery efficiency, strengthen supply chain reliability, and facilitate the uninterrupted movement of essential food commodities throughout the region.

The NFA regional office covers both Region IV-A (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon or CALABARZON) and Region IV-B (Mindoro-Marinduque-Romblon-Palawan or MIMAROPA).

Both parties said the partnership seeks to address supply chain bottlenecks, improve operational responsiveness, and ensure the timely delivery of food commodities to areas where they are needed.

Yello X SCS will support NFA Region IV through technology-driven logistics solutions, including real-time shipment visibility and data-based operational management, to help build a more responsive, transparent, and resilient food distribution network.

“Food security is ultimately a supply chain challenge. Beyond producing food, we must ensure it moves efficiently, reliably, and sustainably from source to destination,” Doceo said. “This partnership reflects our commitment to helping build a stronger agricultural supply chain that benefits Filipino farmers, consumers, and communities.”

Navarro emphasized the importance of dependable logistics partnerships in maintaining the efficient movement and availability of food stocks, particularly during periods of heightened demand, emergency response operations, and market disruptions.

Yello X SCS said the partnership highlights the growing role of public-private sector collaboration in strengthening agricultural supply chains and advancing the country’s food security agenda.
