Yusen Logistics Philippines, Inc., the local unit of global logistics service provider Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd., has opened a new logistics center in southern Metro Manila to meet rising demand for express air shipments across the region.
Located at Las Piñas Cargo Complex, the 1,500-square-meter hub is fully equipped with 24/7 security cameras, and has designated areas for export/import loading/unloading, labelling, palletizing and sorting as well as a holding area for air export shipments.
The new warehouse is complemented by a set of transport equipment, including 10-wheeler wing, 6-wheeler forward, 6-wheeler standard, and 4-wheeler vans dedicated to air shipments.
“In Yusen Logistics, we are guided by the Kaizen principle which aims for continuous improvement. We believe that the new warehouse hub and dedicated transport fleet is essential for us to increase our warehouse capacity and improve our delivery efficiency for air shipments,” said Jeff Nava, general manager of the air freight department of Yusen Logistics Philippines.
Aside from the new warehouse, Yusen Logistics Philippines last year opened a new office in Davao City. The company said these expansion projects aim to boost Yusen Logistics’ supply chain business operations in the Philippines.
