The Bureau of Customs (BOC) recorded its highest monthly collection in October 2026, raking in P97.463 billion despite a decline in import volume.
Based on preliminary data, the October collection was P14.501 billion higher than the P82.962 billion collected in the same month last year. It also reached 99.42% of the agency’s P98.028-billion revenue target for the month, BOC reported.
Cumulative collection from January to October 2026 reached P853.662 billion, the highest for the first ten months of any year in the agency’s history. This exceeded the P846.522-billion target by P7.140 billion, and was P69.029 billion higher than the P784.633 billion collected during the same period in 2025.

The BOC is the government’s second biggest revenue earner after tax collection agency Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Customs commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno attributed the new records to stricter monitoring of collections, improved customs administration, and the collective efforts of Customs personnel nationwide.
“Every record we achieve reflects the dedication and hard work of our Customs personnel nationwide. My heartfelt thanks to all our Collection Districts for their tireless efforts and commitment to delivering results. Every peso we collect translates into a service we can deliver to our fellow citizens. That’s what gives our work greater meaning,” Nepomuceno said.
“With our cumulative collection continuing to exceed its target, we remain confident in our ability to achieve our full-year revenue goal. We are determined to reach the P1 trillion mark, and we will give our very best to achieve it. In the remaining two months, we are counting on the continued support of our stakeholders and the proper payment of duties and taxes so that together we can reach this historic target for the country,” he added.
The BOC still needs to collect more than P157 billion in November and December to reach its full-year revenue target of P1.011 trillion. To achieve this, the agency said it will further focus on revenue monitoring, strengthen customs enforcement, and continue reforms to expedite the processing of legitimate trade while ensuring the proper payment of duties and taxes.
