BOC auctions raised P146.677 million from January to September 2026, with P115.889 million from the Port of Manila
The Bureau of Customs (BOC), through the Port of Manila, raised P22.952 million from the public auction of a seized 2021 Rolls-Royce Cullinan on Oct. 30, 2026.
BOC records show the car was among motor vehicles seized in Pasay City in 2025 on signs of unlawful importation. Verification found no matching records for them in the BOC’s Customs Processing Database (CPD). That led to legal action under Section 1113 of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
Auction proceeds for 2026
From January to September 2026, public auctions raised P146.677 million for the government. The Port of Manila accounted for P115.889 million, or about 79% of the total, by PortCalls’ computation.
BOC said all auction proceeds are remitted to the Bureau of the Treasury to help fund government programs and services. It said it aims to turn seized and forfeited goods into additional government funds through an orderly, transparent and lawful disposal process.
“Every successful auction is a reminder that our enforcement efforts bring positive returns to the public,” Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said. “In the end, the proceeds go to the public coffers and help fund programs that also serve the people.”
PortCalls has reported on other BOC vehicle auctions this year. In February, BOC sold a Rolls-Royce Cullinan formerly owned by the Discaya couple for P29 million. In April, a 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom fetched P25.5 million, part of P99.5 million raised from January to April.
