The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has so far collected P99.508 million from public auctions held in January to April 2026, with the latest bringing in P25 million from a luxury vehicle sold on April 28.
A 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom was the sole vehicle sold from a 12-luxury car lineup during the most recent auction, the BOC said in a news release.
The Phantom fetched P25,548,050, including registration fees, the only lot successfully disposed of on the day through the Auction and Cargo Disposal Division of the Port of Manila.
The 2023 Rolls-Royce Phantom was among 12 luxury vehicles associated with Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators, which were seized due to tax evasion and violations of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
Pureblends Corporation, the sole bidder, submitted a bid of P25,543,000 for the Rolls-Royce Phantom, rounding up the floor price of P25,542,999.45.
The remaining 11 vehicles included two Ferraris, a McLaren Senna, and a Mercedes-Benz G650 V12 Biturbo.
Customs commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno said transparent disposal mechanisms are central to the agency’s accountability mandate, noting that public auctions ensure forfeited goods are liquidated in a manner that is both open to scrutiny and beneficial to national development objectives.
