DHL Supply Chain appointed logistics industry executive Guillaume Burette as chief operating officer (COO) for Asia Pacific, effective October 26.
In his new role, Burette will oversee operational excellence and support customer growth across the region.
He will serve on DHL Supply Chain’s Global Operations Board and Asia Pacific Management Board, reporting to Mauricio Barros, global COO of DHL Supply Chain, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to Javier Bilbao, the company’s Asia Pacific CEO.
Burette will initially be based in Hong Kong before relocating to Singapore.
“Guillaume knows this region and its operations inside out, and he has a real track record of building strong teams and growing businesses,” Bilbao said.
“As our customers look for more resilient and efficient supply chains, his experience will help us keep raising the bar on operational excellence across Asia Pacific,” he added.

Burette has more than 20 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics, much of it gained in Asia. He has lived in the region since 2003, except for a two-year assignment in Europe.
He joins DHL Supply Chain from his most recent position as managing director for Southeast Asia at a contract logistics company.
“I have spent most of my career in contract logistics here in Asia and DHL is a company I have always looked up to,” Burette said.
“Supply chains in this region are evolving fast and customers need operations they can rely on when things get complicated. I am looking forward to getting to know the teams on the ground and working with them to deliver for our customers,” he added.
DHL Supply Chain said the appointment strengthens its Asia Pacific leadership team as it expands its regional capabilities, helps customers improve supply chain resilience and addresses increasingly complex logistics requirements across the region.
