On-demand delivery platform Lalamove Philippines has launched operations in Davao City, the first step in its expansion across Mindanao, the company said in a LinkedIn post.

The Davao launch is part of the company’s wider push into key commercial centers in Mindanao and the Visayas.

Davao City is Mindanao’s main economic hub and the largest city in the Philippines by land area. Lalamove said the city’s size presents both major business opportunities and unique logistics challenges.

The company is targeting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), citing the city’s fast-growing business base. Over 45,000 business permits were applied for in Davao in January 2026 alone.

Lalamove said its on-demand delivery service lets MSMEs avoid the cost of owning and managing their own delivery fleets while reaching more customers across the city.

For local businesses, this means access to delivery capacity as needed, without the fixed costs of vehicles, drivers and maintenance.

The expansion will also create earning opportunities for local drivers. Lalamove said its driver partners in Davao will receive fuel discounts and insurance coverage.
