Mira Bulk has taken delivery of the new MV Epic Mira, an 82,000-deadweight-ton (DWT) Kamsarmax-class dry bulk carrier, during a naming and handover ceremony held in Cebu, expanding its fleet under an exclusive freight partnership with Australia’s Fenix Resources.
The vessel, built by Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc., will be deployed to support Fenix Resources’ iron ore export operations, with Mira Bulk serving as the mining company’s dedicated maritime logistics partner.
The addition of MV Epic Mira strengthens the recently established strategic partnership between the two companies, which aims to provide efficient, scalable, and cost-effective shipping solutions to support Fenix’s expanding production.
Representing Mira Bulk at the ceremony were David Blanch Whybrow and Russell Morgan, while Adrian Third attended on behalf of Fenix Resources. Representatives of Vaiana Shipping led the vessel’s naming ceremony.
