Philippine Airlines (PAL) is extending the temporary suspension of flights from Manila to Doha, Qatar and Dubai, United Arab Emirates until June 30 and August 2, respectively.
The suspension is due to the ongoing situation in the region, including increasing risks to critical infrastructure and overall airspace safety, the flag carrier said in an advisory.
PAL previously suspended flights between Manila and Doha and Dubai until April 30.
“Safety remains our top priority. With unpredictable conditions — including restricted airspace, sudden closures, and limited routing options — PAL is taking a more cautious approach based on its safety assessment, recognizing that operating conditions may vary by airline,” the airline said.

Options for affected passengers are: rebook to another available flight at no additional cost in the same cabin, subject to seat availability; convert the ticket to travel credits with a 20% bonus; or request a full refund with no penalties if booked directly with PAL.
PAL noted processing of request for full refund takes approximately eight days due to the high volume of requests related to Middle East flight cancellations, with total posting time of two to four weeks depending on bank processing.
If booked through a travel agent, passengers should directly request a refund from them.
Meanwhile, flights to and from Riyadh remain at this time, with PAL continuing “to carefully assess operating conditions to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.”

PAL earlier said it has secured sufficient jet fuel supply to support scheduled operations, including long-haul flights, for the foreseeable future.
