Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and FedEx Philippines officials recently met to explore the possibility of establishing a PEZA Satellite Office within the FedEx Philippines Gateway in Clark, as part of efforts to position Clark as a strategic logistics gateway and expand market access.
PEZA Director General Tereso Panga and Deputy Director General Vivian Santos led the engagement, welcoming FedEx Philippines Customs Regulatory Adviser Ferddie Legaspi, Operations Manager Marlon Maquio, and Senior Manager Jenieryll Jomarie Mangalindan.
Discussions focused on the possibility of maintaining a 24/7 PEZA presence at the FedEx Clark facility, in line with the gateway’s non-stop service operations. Bringing PEZA’s regulatory and facilitation services directly into the facility would place them closer to exporters and PEZA-registered enterprises handling time-sensitive shipments, potentially reducing processing delays for cargo that depends on quick turnaround.
The proposed setup is also intended to strengthen coordination among PEZA, the Bureau of Customs (BOC), and other trade and logistics stakeholders operating within the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC).

Panga in a statement said the proposed PEZA presence reinforces Clark’s strategic role in the country’s investment and export ecosystem beyond pure logistics operations. He added that as supply chains grow more integrated and trade volumes rise, PEZA continues expanding partnerships and services across key economic corridors to support investment growth, facilitate trade, and improve ease of doing business nationwide.
PEZA said the initiative reflects its broader strategy of collaborating with logistics and industry stakeholders to develop economic zones responsive to evolving global supply chain needs, while positioning Clark and the wider Luzon Economic Corridor as a competitive platform for trade, investment, and industrial growth.
