Suzuki Philippines (SPH) Incorporated broke ground on a major integrated facility in Carmelray Industrial Park 1, signaling expansion and initiatives to boost its after-sales network and sharpen dealer support across its vehicle and marine businesses.

The new complex will consolidate parts warehousing and distribution, technical service training, and corporate office functions under one roof, a centralized setup designed to speed up parts availability for dealers nationwide, improve inventory management, and streamline coordination across SPH’s automobile, motorcycle, and marine divisions.

Construction is set to begin in May 2026, with the facility expected to be operational by August 2027.

“This groundbreaking ceremony symbolizes more than just a construction project but laying the foundation for the bright future of Suzuki in the Philippines,” SPH president Koichiro Hirao said in a press release.

He described the investment as a direct expression of the company’s strategic direction saying, “This project stands as a powerful reflection of our vision — our commitment to progress, innovation, and long-term growth. Of strengthening our capabilities, expanding our reach, and creating greater value.”

Beyond its internal operational objectives, the project is expected to generate jobs and support local industries in the CALABARZON Region.

“It represents new opportunities — for jobs, for local businesses and for the community that surrounds us. It contributes to economic activity, supports livelihoods and helps build a stronger, more resilient environment where progress can be shared by many,” Hirao added.

The SPH chief also used the occasion to signal resolve amid a challenging industry environment. “Even in times of uncertainty, we remain committed to growth, to development, and to build something meaningful for the future,” he said. “Let us build not just structures, but lasting impact.”

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from local government units, business partners, and project stakeholders, including officials from the Carmelray Group and contractors involved in the development.
