Kintetsu World Express, Inc. (KWE) was a recipient of Texas Instruments’ (TI) 2025 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA), recognizing its role for supporting the global semiconductor manufacturer’s supply chain.
KWE was one of only 19 recipients selected from more than 10,000 suppliers worldwide. This marks the sixth time KWE has received this award, following recognitions in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2016, and 2022, the company said in a statement.
Established in 1984, the SEA is TI’s highest level of supplier recognition. Each year, a select group of suppliers is chosen based on their contributions in service and quality performance. Recipients are evaluated across six key criteria: cost, environmental and social responsibility, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply, and quality.
KWE said it was recognized for its role in supporting TI’s global supply chain through cross-regional transportation and logistics operations, consistently delivering excellence in quality, on-time performance, and responsiveness.
Upon acceptance of this award, KWE president and chief executive officer Tetsuya Yamanaka said: “We are committed to expanding our support—developing innovative, forward-looking solutions to meet the evolving needs. As the industry continues to advance, we are focused on diversifying transportation, accelerating digital transformation, leveraging AI-driven capabilities, optimizing supply chains, ensuring compliance, and advancing sustainability.”
As a global freight forwarder, KWE said it contributes to the stability and optimization of supply chains for industries requiring high precision and reliable supply, including the semiconductor sector. Leveraging its global network and high-quality operations, KWE said it will continue to serve as a trusted logistics partner, supporting customers’ business activities and contributing to the sustainable development of society and industry.
In the Philippines, KWE provides logistics services to TI both in its Baguio and Clark operations.
