Lufthansa Technik and Emirates have extended their agreement for the base maintenance of the airline’s Airbus A380 fleet through 2030, reinforcing a partnership that has supported the carrier’s flagship aircraft since 2023.
Under the new multi-year contract, Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP), the German MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) company’s competence center for widebody base maintenance in Asia, will continue conducting heavy checks on Emirates’ A380 aircraft.
The maintenance program is already underway at LTP’s existing facility in Manila, where two dedicated base maintenance lines have been assigned to Emirates.
Emirates will also become the launch customer of LTP’s new maintenance facility at Clark International Airport once operations begin.

LTP said the agreement is one of the largest by value in the company’s history, underscoring the strength and continuity of its relationship with Emirates.
Since 2023, Emirates, the largest operator of the Airbus A380 worldwide, has depended on Lufthansa Technik’s heavy maintenance expertise for its double-deck aircraft. To date, LTP has performed over 30 A380 checks for the airline.
