President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. issued three proclamations expanding two special economic zones in Luzon and establishing a new one in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Malacanang announced.
Proclamation No. 1337 designates several parcels of land in Barangays Punta I and Sahud-Ulan in the town of Tanza in Cavite. These areas, covering about 331,348 square meters (sqm), will be added to the existing Suntrust Ecotown Tanza-Special Economic Zone.
Proclamation No. 1338 designates several parcels of land in Barangays Luta Sur and San Fernando in Malvar, Batangas. The additional 308,065 sqm area will be included in the existing Light Industry & Science Park IV-Special Economic Zone.
Both expansions were recommended by the Board of Directors of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and subject to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7916 or the Special Economic Zone Act of 1995, as amended.
Proclamation No. 1340, meanwhile, creates and designates a 60,000-sqm area as the Robinsons Dumaguete I.T. Park as a special information technology ecozone.
Located within the Dumaguete Business Park in Barangay Calindagan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, it will be governed by pertinent laws on ecozones, taxes, and PEZA resolutions.

The three proclamations were signed on July 6 by acting executive secretary Ralph Recto and published on July 13.
