Toll collection on the newly opened Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 3 started August 9, 2026, ending nearly three months of free passage on the 7.88-kilometer section connecting Silang (Aguinaldo) to Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite.
The subsection has provided toll-free access since its opening on May 4, benefiting nearly 9,000 motorists daily by offering a faster, more convenient alternative route.
Based on an announcement from the Toll Regulatory Board, the pre-approved toll rates for the Silang-Governor’s Drive section:
- P35 for Class 1 vehicles
- P70 for Class 2 vehicles
- P106 for Class 3 vehicles.
With the addition of Subsection 3, the toll rates for the approximately 26-kilometer operational portion of the CALAX, from Governor’s Drive to Greenfield in Mamplasan, Laguna, will be:
- Class 1: P117
- Class 2: P234
- Class 3: P351
CALAX, operated by MPCALA Holdings Inc., is being developed as a major link between the South Luzon Expressway and the Cavite Expressway.
Once the entire 44.556-kilometer expressway is completed, it is expected to improve the movement of people, goods, and services across the Calabarzon region while providing motorists with a safer, faster, and more convenient alternative route.
CALAX opened on May 4, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. leading the inauguration.
The new segment should ease congestion and cut travel time between Biñan and General Trias to 26 minutes from about an hour, boosting connectivity in southern Luzon.
Subsection 3 offers an alternative route for over 6,000 motorists daily, bypassing congested local roads in Cavite’s growing industrial and residential areas.
