Philippine Airlines (PAL) recently took delivery of its second Airbus A350-1000 as part of its continuing fleet modernization program.
The aircraft, which arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport late afternoon of May 29, follows the delivery in December 2025 of PAL’s first of nine ordered A350-1000.
PAL in a statement said it remains the first and only carrier in Southeast Asia to operate the Airbus A350-1000.
Designed for long-haul operations, PAL said the A350-1000 delivers greater fuel efficiency, operational reliability, passenger comfort, and improved environmental performance, supporting the flag carrier’s growing network between the Philippines and North America.
“As demand for international travel continues to grow, this second Airbus A350-1000 will play an important role in enhancing our long-haul operations and elevating the overall passenger experience while supporting the long-term modernization of Philippine Airlines,” PAL president Richard Nuttall said.
PAL said the arrival comes as it continues to build on its operational momentum following its successful recovery and transformation.
Aside from the new A350-100, PAL in 2025 continued to advance its fleet revitalization program, retrofitting three Airbus A321ceo aircraft, and taking delivery of two additional A320‑200s to help meet growing domestic travel demand.
PAL earlier said these fleet investments and ongoing cabin reconfigurations reinforce its long‑term growth strategy and position the airline to expand capacity, enhance passenger experience, and support network growth as it enters 2026.
