The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), in coordination with partner law enforcement agencies, nabbed two Filipino passengers who were carrying P56.6 million worth of illegal drugs on May 6.
The two arrested, both female, arrived on a flight from Cambodia, BOC-NAIA reported.
Customs authorities discovered approximately 8,324 grams of white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu,” concealed within two pieces of luggage.

The illegal substances were packed in improvised pouches made of carbon paper and packaging tape, and further concealed alongside coffee powder, assorted coffee packs, and personal belongings in an apparent attempt to evade detection.
