Philippine Airlines (PAL) is suspending until June 18, 2026 flights to and from Saipan due to ongoing runway repair works at Saipan International Airport following the recent onslaught of Typhoon Sinlaku.
PAL in an advisory said it will coordinate closely with airport authorities to determine when the repairs will be completed and ready for the safe resumption of commercial flights.
The suspension comes just after PAL resumed its Manila-Saipan flights this month.

Typhoon Sinlaku hit Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands beginning April 11 after rapidly developing into a category 5 storm.
Passengers of the cancelled flights have the option to rebook their ticket in the same cabin class on a flight with available space, or may convert the value of their unused ticket into travel credits with no expiry, which can be used for future ticket purchases.
As an added incentive, passengers affected by flight disruptions will receive a 5% bonus value when converting to travel credits.
Another option is to request a refund for their unused ticket (excluding the ticketing service charge).
Moreover, passengers can reroute to Guam as an alternate route, subject to seat availability.
Aside from Saipan and Guam, PAL also serves the Pacific region through flights to Palau and Honolulu. These routes form part of the flag carrier’s ongoing network expansion, which is focused on strengthening its North American and Pacific presence while enhancing connectivity across its domestic and regional markets.
